So the banjo has the barbed wire wrapped around it so it is tied to the fence post?

Ermm yes. The barbed wire was supposed to be clear of the banjo, so it looked like the end of the reel of wire. Unfortunately now it looks like a pepperoni with a hat on holding a banjo!!
