I grew up more interested in sports than music. I got my first harmonica and guitar in college and later played a little bass. Somehow I always knew I'd get an banjo eventually and learn to play. One day a photo on The Be Good Tanyas' web site led me to J. Romero Banjos and I was blown away. Soon I was in up to my neck trying to build an open back inspired by Romero and archtop guitars. The result is the banjo in my profile pic. Fun times.
