I'm so excited I get my new banjo this week! :o)
Now I need an instructor. I know there are a lot of good instructional videos, but its not the same.
Anyone know of a Banjo teacher in the Athens GA area?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Carita

Playing Since: 2009
Experience Level: Just Startin'
Interests:
[Jamming] [Socializing]
Occupation: RN
Gender: Female
Age: 59
My Instruments:
I'm the proud new mamma to a Flinthill FHB-280. I'm just a newbee and am still learning the parts of the banjo. However, my voice (singing) is my initial instrument and I love to play the tambourine and bongos. LOL... yeah... bongos... not really bluegrass, but they are fun!
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
Steve Martin, Rhonda Vincent, Cherryholmes, Wil Maring, Claire Lynch and local folk and bluegrass bands (Kevin Church, Cary Ann Hearst, Packway Handle Band, Tin Cup Prophette, Caroline Monroe, Truckstop Honeymoon, Birds & Wire, and many more). I love to go to Hoots in the area.

I'm working on a Masters of Science in Nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I need a little musical fun in my life and I think that fun may just have a Banjo at the beginning of it.
