My younger brothers nick named me "Salmon" or "Fish" for short. I never knew why, but I still answer to it. Music was always in our house. Mom sang and played piano. The boys played trumpet, and I learned the French horn. Dad did a lot of listening. We all listened to classical, church music and Herb Albert at home. Of course we also moved through rock and roll, heavy metal and disco. Never heard about Old Time until I decided to learn to play banjo. Now I can't get enough.
