There was a boy come to my church one sunday and played a few gospel numbers and that was really one of the first times i had herd a banjer in person and it was one of the coolest things i had ever "seen/heard" and i said to my-self i am gonna learn to play one of them things.I had told my grandpa after the service that when we get home im gonna start playing the banjo. Every one else in the family said give it a month and he will be done with it. my grandpa had an old banjo and never learned to play so i got it and began foolin around with it. i took some lessons from the feller that came to my church and i picked up on it pretty quick ,according to everyone else!!! After about a year i wanted me a banjer with a geard 5th string tuner...haha.. and a tone ring so i saved up my money from gettin up straw and i bought me a Goldstar GF-85 in july of 08 and i love it. I also enjoy playing with other people or just hearing someone ,i find it neat that everyone has their own style..."mine being the most simple on a scale of 1-10 " hahaha...... But i am proud to be a banjo picker and and that is never gonna change
