Wildwood, Banjo builder

Friday, October 23, 2015

Wildwood Paragon Stained Curly Maple, I waited 6 years wondering if I would ever upgrade my current banjo.   I purchased this wonderful " machine/work of art" in August and what a pleasure to play. I have had great feed back from instructors, 2 of the bands I play in and also several members of the Oregon Oldtime Fiddlers. I was told exactly what I would expect from this professional player type of instrument. Nice clear notes and much easier to play than what use to. The builder, Mark Platin is a PRO. I was very cautious about upgrading my banjo and I was able to see this banjo born in the shop and monitor the process from start to finish. Mark explained in detail how every part of my banjo was make and the best and most proven parts used with it. I play 2 to 5 gigs a week and I really enjoy pulling this banjo out of the case to first show it off and they play.
