Thought I'd post a quick entry about how things are going.
I won a Deering Goodtime II on Ebay about a month ago. I'm very impressed with it so far even though I'm a newbie and have no idea what to expect. It sounds very good!
I've been taking lessons from Corn (THE man and an awesome instructor) for the past three weeks. My fouth lesson is Tuesday. I have to say, I'm loving the banjo even more than I thought I would. I've learned "Up The Holler" and "Cripple Creek" so far although I'm not too speedy on "Cripple Creek" yet. I'm just relieved it's going as well as it is so far.
Here's hoping for at least another month of great progress!
