Well let's see... Interest in the banjo began after seeing John Hartford at the Great Northern Bluegrass Festival in Mole Lake, WI around 1978 or so. Got into a motorcycle accident that summer which broke my back, neck, and both legs; so I bought a banjo and picked all day for eight months while recovering. The banjo remains a defining personality trait for me, I guess that's better than no personality at all. Have played with a few bands over years, recorded an album in Seattle, WA in 1989 and now just play for fun.
