I went to Mountain Home, Arkansas back in the mid 1990's and after listening to many jam sessions I was committed to playing the banjo. I found Tony Ulrich, here in the Houston, Texas area and started learning. Unfortunately, due to pressures from my burgeoning dental practice, a wife and son, I got away from my lessons and practice. I started back again for a short but again due to that marriage about to fail and issues with my 12 year old son I again had to lay things aside. I went through some horrible health issues that prevented me from walking and had to give up my dental practice. I have finally gotten literally back on my feet and am very "fired-up" about dedicating what time I have left to trying to mastering this instrument. I can read music (treble clef), play the guitar, play the B-flat clarinet, play the piano, and double rank organ. You realize when I say play, this is nothing far beyond the novice level. I actually have had guitar lessons many years ago.
