I would very much like to learn to play banjo, and maybe the mandolinbanjo and the guitarbanjo attracts me most .I am not sure thoug, because my good friend Pete has a 5 string banjo, he makes som realy good bluegrassmusic and in the sommer of 2008 I hope to jamm with him on my sommerholiday, hopefully in Minnesota where he lives. And he is an inspiration for me, so maybe I com home with a new 5 strings bluegrass.
A 4 string Dixieland banjo sounds nice too, and I like irish music where they use those instruments.Wel, one step at the time, and step one is to actually GET me a banjo so I can start practising......

Yesterday I listened to some music in here, "Stairway to heaven"........wow , hehe! I would never imagened it could be played on a banjo! hehe.Wel, I liked it! And itwas impressed .Cant remember the name of the man who played it....but I found the music on this page!
(OOOPS........Ross Nickerson.......wel.........now I know who he is. No wonder that I was impressed.He`s a professional ! I I understand why I felt for he`s version of "Stairway to heaven", hehe. Wel anyway......proffessional or not......I still like it! Thanx Ross)

Hi there.
I am a 47 year old female amatour singer/songwriter from Bergen in Norway. I am a teacher for little children, and once a week I teach babies from 3-12 months music in a school of art in Bergen.
I `ve played the guitar since I was 11 years old, I\ve sung in different choir since I was 12, and I very much like to learn how to play banjo, and how to play harpe.
I also play a lttle piano, a Norwegian flute called blokkfløyte , and Djembe, and Congas(african drum).
I`ve made a demotape with som of my own music .
