In my spare time, I like writing my own country/folk tunes with acoustic guitar and banjo. I've self-released three albums and am currently working on a fourth. I'm self-taught on both guitar and banjo, and use only the inside part of my thumbnail to pick the strings. I realized early on that it was easier for me to use my thumb to hit the strings I wanted than it was for me to use multiple fingers. My friends call me Ol' Crazy Thumb, on account of my quick digit.
