David has been playing with the Rocky Run Gang, in addition to operating a very busy music store (Kingstowne Acoustic Music) in Alexandria, VA. Enjoy teaching and jamming, and run a slow jam to help beginner players feel more comfortable with jamming. David began his musical journey early in life when he started playing guitar at age 4. He attended the North Carolina School of Performing Arts on a full scholarship. Listening to Earl Scruggs perform Foggy Mountain Breakdown sparked his love of the banjo although he never had a chance to take up the instrument until 30 years later. David contributes much of his free time to helping others by encouraging them to attend the learning jams he conducts at his music store Kingstowne Acoustic Music.
