I come from a classical guitar background but now play acoustic guitar, 4 & 5-string banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and a wee bit of fiddle. I've written books on fingerstyle guitar and harmonica and have been performing and teaching mostly roots music since the early 1970s. I like all banjo styles, but usually play clawhammer when left to my own devices.
