I've been playing banjo for about 16 years. I grew up in a bluegrass family with some members making it to the professional level. Bill Yates of Country Gentlemen/Jimmy Martin fame, is my great uncle. I love hearing his funny road stories and nightmares from years on the road with some of the greats. I currently reside in Nokesville, VA, and have several beginning banjo students. I'm currently playing with a bluegrass-turned-country group named Fitzmaurice.
