I was getting frustrated with my progress and the overwhelming number of things I was trying to learn, all at the same time.
I found an article, while re-reading an old BNL, about frustration written by Ian Perry.
One of his suggestions was, "keep practicing". If you make a list of what to practice every day you don't have to decide what to work on when you sit down.
So, my list will be: practice scales, rolls for at least 15 minutes, new licks at slow speed, starting at 40 bpm and increasing speed each day.
Basicly, getting back to basics. It worked when I used to play golf. Now, talk about frustration.
