Took a long stretch off: been back to playing for a few years. Engineer by profession, remain very interested in instrument construction etc. as well as in playing. Have evolved from being primarily interested in banjo breaks to appreciating all facets of instrumental and vocal music. Oh yeah, I am a bit of an old Gibson enthusiast. Over the years I have acquired several prewar banjos including a style X, style 00, style 1, style 11, style 2, style 3, style 4, style 5, style 6, and Granada. By the way, nearly all of my banjos are players with some level of conversion, none are collector's pieces except the RB-00, RB-1 and flathead TB-6.
