Hi you all, just to let you know I'm still alive and pickin'.
I've been very busy with my band WET PAINT, rehearsing through stuff and working up new stuff.
I've been at the old banjo again and came up with tune call "Fishy Tuner" (when I tried to tune my banjo with electronic tuner which I'd set up wrong!). I will get it down soon and tabbed out.
I'm off to see Steve Martin on Monday evening (as long as my satnag hasn't got PMT's). I'm looking forward to this as I managed to get 4 tickets in the front row right to the stage, now where did I put these those tickets!
When things have sttled down a bit (I'm trying to fix up EABGF 2010), I'm hoping to have an informal pick (just got to sort out the venue) so all are invited, depending on size of venue too, so watch this space.
DVD is slowly getting there once I've done the first one hopefully the rest will be easier.
One last thing I have to go to hospital near end of November to see a consultant about my leg. This should be a day job but might mean a stay in hospital if operation is needed.. Help!!!
You can find me on FaceBook now.
Cheers Phill O='=

Self taught from recordings. Have been teaching for over 25 years and have my own books and cd's. Founder of the British Bluegrass News (BBN) magazine with the British Bluegrass Music Association. I taught my newphew at the tender age of six, I play guitar and sometimes banjo. I have been running The East Anglian Bluegrass Festival (founded by John Pearman) for the last 2 years after sadley John died. I continue to run t as John asked me if I would, held in the quaint village of Steeple Morden, Sth Cambridgeshire UK. Around the last weekend in June.
