Went July 25th to the Morehead Old Time Fiddlers Convention - saw some absolutely wonderful old time banjo players. They were playing claw hammer and two finger style. There were 15 banjo players competing (from California, Wisconsin, Indiana, Colorado, West Virginia, Kentucky - etc). It was just wonderful. Really inspired me to try my hand at claw hammer style.
If you get a chance next year to go there - you should go. It was a small festival - but I feel it will really grow. I had a wonderful time.
Also, I competed in the Mountain Dulcimer Contest and WON! Couldn't believe it! Anyway, had a great day of competing and jamming.
