Lessons are FREE online and in person. Time to pay it forward. 2023 Cohost for the IBMA WOB Bluegrass Banjo Workshop and Me & Martha were featured performers at the IBMA WOB Bronze Wound Showcase. Me and Martha perform a yearly average of 200 paid performances from Maine to Florida. Don is a 5th generation music maker from the Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley playing and singing on stage since the age of 8. He has a Ph.D. Currently teaching Bluegrass Banjo at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg (VA) His wife, Martha Hills is a native Mainer and has over 15 years experience in pre k-3 educational. Musically, she has developed and presented a series of parent/child workshops focusing on music making with children in mind. Martha and Don (a.k.a. “Me & Martha”) conduct slow-jam workshops, lectures on a variety of subject areas, perform at concerts and festivals, conduct fund-raising events, sponsor formal and informal jams, author topical books and papers, and promote music making as a way of life, creating community and connecting bridges.
