I have to say that I’ve wanted to try these products out for some time now. I have hands that sweat when I play and I have used fiddle rosin for ages but its messy so after finally getting a chance here are my thoughts on them.
I tried the Sticky Picks first and I thought it worked pretty well. It comes in a bottle that has a rounded pad on the end that soaks up the solution then you wipe it on your fingers. It is very clean, no fuss and works decent. If you have really sweaty hands though it may not work as well.
Then I tried the Gorilla Snot. The first thing I noticed was that it had a film on the top of it that I didn’t like but once I got past that then I knew I had found a product that I could use. I do not suggest using another finger to apply it because this stuff is truly sticky. Once applied to the fingers and thumb your picks will stay on and so far after many applications it doesn’t seem to leave any residue either.
I can say this for sure, I’ll be using the Gorilla Snot for a long time to come and I will not be worried about my picks coming off.
