I'm a writer and professor living in Brooklyn, New York. I studied classical guitar as a teenager and picked it back up during the pandemic to find I'd retained a lot of the techniques, so I started teaching myself songs by John Prine, Townes, etc. In January ? I was given a cheap Oscar Schmidt banjo and a few months later I built a mountain banjo with my father. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from this group.
