I have a J.D Crowe model. 1984 I think. Don't feel like taking the reso off at the moment.

She has been accused of being a pre-war. lol!

Really fine banjos regardless of where they were made. I have heard some of the GF 100 models too and they were outstanding.

Also got an '81 JD... about mint except for non original tuners.. WHAT A SHAME on that! Anyone know where I could find some original gold tuners for a JD model with original REAL pearl buttons? LOL>> Not likely I know..

I currently have a pair of Mastertones,one from Nashville and the other one a Kalamazoo,a 78 Ibanez Artist and have had a bunch of other great banjos in the past but I have never had one as bright ,clear and powerful as the Gold Star! Amazing instruments. A fan for life,Oilerguy
