Hi guys, just to let you know that i have decided to go ahead with the proposed get together / informal meet in January as promised. There is a slight change though, Steve Jeneson has offered us the Hilton village hall, this could be a better option than my front room, looking at who wants to come, its about the same distance for us all, parking is better, tea making is on hand and its still a free get together with the same format to the day as i posted earlier, beginner, intermediate guys sitting around sharing idea,s tunes and styles etc, just enjoying each others company, so what do you guys think? is this ok to run with? we could accomodate a few more, see if we could get between six or twelve of us. Who's in?

January the 26th Saturday, 12 till 6 Pm at Hilton village hall will be the place to be for our first informal banjo meet, places are limited but i want everyone to know that this is for ALL us guys, i will try to help in any way i can but i dont want to preach on all day, i know we all love to share and play and it doesnt matter how good or bad you are, you are truely welcome to this one, so come on guys, get your names down so i can asess how many tea bags to get in!!!!

By the way, I think I might have met you many years ago, (probably 40 years ago) when you played at the Bluegrass club at the Sun Inn in Stockton on Tees. It was run by Trevor King.
Reason I think it was you, was the banjo player was playing an Ode, and I was told sometime later that he had emigrated to the USA. Also he was a top notch player.

Its a goer! Have got the hall from 12 to 5 on the 26 Jan 2013. B Y O tea coffee and cookies etc. There is a kettle and mugs but no makings. There is a chippy nearby if you get peckish.

USarmylineman, you are welcome but please bear in mind that this is a social and not a designated workshop, however there will be plenty of players willing to give tips and suggestions to help your playing, Pete, no i am comming on my own to join in with the banjo feel of the day.

January Hilton banjo day update.
