Hello

From Laurence Diehl on 9/7/2012 10:28:32 AM

Hi everyone - I am joining somewhat under false pretenses as I am no longer based in UK. I was however, born and raised in London so I hope that gives me enough cover! I wanted to join the group as I am still interested in what goes on in the land of my birth AND it seems like the most happening group around!

One more item of news, I am going to see Bela Fleck tonight. He is appearing at Jazz Alley, Seattle with the Macus Roberts Trio. Needless to say - I am stoked, and feel very fortunate to live in a city where great music is so easy to find.

Laurence

Welcome Laurence, me and Joe will also keep you from losing completely your English sense irony. Besides it nice to know one of the best banjo players on the hangout is English.

Thank you friends!
Ian - sense of irony firmly in place, mate. There's a couple more great English pickers on the hangout named Ian and Joe!
Joe - yeah, that entrance exam is a tuffy - bring the kettle to a full, rolling boil I believe?
Andy - cheers mate! Same Queen right?

Hi, Laurence, Sorry I missed your entry until today. It's funny my brother has property in Seattle and as returned to London to live. My Eldest son is based at Winsor Castle at present but my wife and I go down regularly to see both at present. Hope I can keep you informed on how things are going. Nolicks
