I use to have a regular New Year’s Eve gig at First Night in Newport, Rhode Island. The gig has gone away and I didn’t work hard at getting another gig. I didn’t pick this New Year’s Eve. If I wanted to I probably could have gotten a job, but I didn’t try.
I’m curious, what is the differential in pay for you when you work New Year’s Eve versus a typical gig?
The three other people and I try to get $300-$400 for a gig for 3 hour professional gig with paid gate/cover charge. On New Year’s Eve we wanted $500. What are you guys setting for fees?
