hello all,

I recently had the chance to play an '05 Masterflower and I was surprised that the hand stop was less pronounced than my older Stellings.

Does anyone know if that was a custom feature on that particular banjo or if the hand stop was redesigned at some point and all newer necks are that way?

The newest Stelling I have owned was a 2001, so if the neck was redesigned I guess it would have happened somewhere between 2001 and 2005.

	Craig_B says: 6/12/2016 12:08:40 PM I don't know. My '82 Staghorn has a smooth, gradual compound radius that reaches its greatest depth about 3/4" north of the nut, where it projects about half an inch.
	banjomule says: 6/12/2016 5:34:25 PM Thanks for the reply! I got an email from Geoff today saying that the volute was reshaped to allow a capo to be stored above the nut.
