Has anyone tried a 'Renaissance' head on their Stelling? Did you like the sound--more mellow?.Currently fitted with a 5 Star head. Are all Stellings made to fit an 11" head?

	Geoff Stelling says: 1/14/2016 7:13:41 AM All Stellings take a medium crown 11" head. I personally think the Renaissance and other heads made to look and sound like calfskin dampen the tone too much and take away a lot of the snap and crack that Stellings are known for.

	Geoff Stelling says: 3/2/2016 1:12:05 PM As Tina said, the Renaissance head "softens the blow" of the sound people expect from a Stelling. It's like putting very quiet restrictive mufflers on a classic Jag that has straight through mufflers, the kind that rumble and blat the sound of that dual overhead cam 6 has been know for for decades. I like the power and sound to be as natural as possible and to be able to control the sound as I want via my picking. To each his or her own choices. I choose to have no restrictions that I don't need.
