Good morning Stelling Banjo Owners.

I have just purchased a digital drum dial. I own a 1978 Golden Cross flat head. I haven't made any adjustments yet and it appears I have 87 -89 reading on the meter around the head. Should I be around 89 as suggested?

	pjfolino says: 8/2/2014 2:55:39 AM My Staghorn sounds best at 89...but tastes differ as do each instruments. But at 89 you're in the ball park.

	5 String says: 8/2/2014 9:13:29 AM You should experiment to see where you like the sound the best, however to put it to factory specs the head should be set to 91 all the way around it.

	Geoff Stelling says: 8/3/2014 2:48:00 PM I set all my new banjos to 91 or a bit higher because they settle down in shipment. You can set it to 91 and always lower it if you like. Geoff
