I have a stelling red fox, and need to set it up (where I live there aren't people who can professionally set up a banjo).

My questions are:

What note should the tone chamber be tuned to? (If anyone could post a video explaining tap tuning, it would be very helpful)

What angle should the tailpiece be set to?

	tonwil says: 7/31/2014 10:23:13 AM I would tighten the head to an A, or where you can depress it about1/16 in the middle. Id put the tailpiece parallel to the head, straight out. Medium low string height with light gauge strings, heavy 4th maybe. Thats where i like them. Tony
	Geoff Stelling says: 7/31/2014 1:46:53 PM Please see my set up hints on my website. If you have a drum dial, the setting is 91 for the head. Tap tuning is difficult to hear and the strings must be muffled when you tap otherwise you'll hear a G.
