I think I want to put one of those new rims on my 76 bellflower I was wondering how much they cost and if it would be a good idea

	briln says: 7/27/2014 6:51:38 AM A few years ago I visited Geoff with my 1983 Sunflower. I asked him about changing out my rim to a Tony Pass. After playing it he said it would be a bit different but hard to say if it would be any better. As I had him re-fret, put on a new nut and do some cosmetic work anyway, I am sure he would have advised me to change the rim if he thought it would be a good thing. I kept the original almost 30 year rim and wouldn't change anything.

	banjoman56 says: 7/27/2014 8:41:39 PM I own a Red Fox with the Cooperman rim and I've played and heard other Red Foxes that had the Pass rim and I prefer the Cooperman. Not that the Pass rim is bad, but it's just hard to beat the original IMO.
	Geoff Stelling says: 7/28/2014 6:15:38 AM I generally try to persuade anyone with a vintage instrument to keep it as original as possible. Als, a '76 Bellflower had a different shape and size tonering than what I use now and ever since 1985. A custom rim would have to be built. Not recommended. Geoff
