I played my Stelling live in front of an audience for the first time the other day for a gig of 19th century Danish working class songs.
As I am primarily a pianist, it was a bit scary and naked going onstage in a two piece band where I'd have to alternate between banjo and accordion which are both second languages to me still. It helped me quite a lot that I could trust the Stelling for playability and consistent sound. Somehow I felt more at home with the banjo in hand than the accordion which I have been playing for many years longer.
I am thankful to Geoff and my luck to be able to play one of his instruments.
