I am the new owner of this banjo ,i love it ,I was wondering why this model was stopped and what model took its place ,which model does it compare to now ,i would love to hear some comments about the Starflowers ,thank ,this is a great site i'm very new to all this again thank you

	Geoff Stelling says: 2/10/2011 9:22:26 AM Hi Frank, The Starflower was in the same price range as the Bellflower, just a different wood and inlay pattern. In the late '70's, the necks were much thinner than now, and gave us some problems with neck bow and cracking below the truss rod. We had plenty of models, so we just discontinued it. Geoff
FrankHale says: 2/10/2011 6:51:26 PM Thanks Geoff ,i'm sending mine to you i have neck problems similar to what you mentioned.what wood is used in the sunflower and what wood in the bellflower ,which was the more sought after of the 2 was there much difference in price at the time mine is # 451 any info about this would be great ,its an amazing sounding banjo
