What would be a good thing to treat an ebonol fretboad with? I reckon regular oil wouldn't be of much use on a synthetic material. Have any of you any experiences along these lines?

	NDJohn says: 8/7/2011 1:31:05 PM Hello Aanders, I have a '78 Bellflower with the ebonol board. My experience is that the only reason to put anything on it is purely cosmetic; being synthetic, it wouldn't seem to need anything. But using a light oil and wiping it off will give you a nice temporary sheen. Geoff may chime in with his definitive comment. Best, John

	Geoff Stelling says: 8/13/2011 11:48:48 AM Not only does a drop of oil make it shine, but it helps with minimizing fret and string wear. To dull the shine, rub some 000 steel wool or Scotch Brite over the frets and fingerboard. Run an oil soaked rag over everything to keep the fingerboard, frets, and strings clean and lightly lubricated occasionally. Geoff
