Hello All

I have played a Mastertone for a long time, but was really never satisfied with the sound. In the early eighties I owned a RB800 that I changed just about everything on it to get close to the sound that I wanted. Well last week I drove to Elderly Instruments and tried a Stelling's Master's Cross that they had in stock. Ended up in bringing it home with me. It has been one week since I've been playing the Stelling and I'm still just blown away. The sound that I have always been after is in this banjo without doing anything to it but play. Just fantastic. I know you've all hear these things before but I am so impressed with this banjo I just had to post my comments. I plan on keeping the Mastertone just in case I need that Gibson sound some time in the future, but the Mastertone is being relegated to the back of the closet.

A thank you should go to Elderly as well for maintaining a good in-store set up on Geoff's instruments so that they were ready for you to hear a fair sampling when you played them. A Stelling, properly set up CAN NOT BE BEAT ! ...right Joemac ? !!!!!
