I bought a used Stelling banjo about ten months ago. Recently I called Geoff Stelling to ask him about the strings he uses on his banjos when they are new. He indicated that he puts medium heavy strings on his banjos. I said that I've been using medium light strings. I ordered a set of medium heavy strings and a tee shirt. The tee shirt was out of stock. He sent me the strings at no cost. Approximately one month later I called him to let him know that I couldn't tune the third string and when I changed the bridge I could tune it. He said return the bridge and he would fix it or send me a new one. He subsequently sent me a new bridge at no cost. This is a five year old banjo that I bought used. Not a banjo I bought from him new. He also offered to set-up my banjo at no cost if I come to his shop, which I will in the near future.

The bottom line is Geoff Stelling is a great person and a class human being.

	CurtissWhite says: 4/28/2011 8:42:00 PM Yup, Geoff did the same for me 30 years ago. I needed a new truss rod that I broke. I was much younger and obviuosly very stupid at the time. Glad I bought a Stelling, always.
	OM45GE says: 4/29/2011 9:30:54 AM I bought my 88 Golden Cross used as well. I bent one of the adjuster screws on the bridge. I called to ask about ordering new ones. Geoff sent a full set at no charge and gave me advice on adjusting it as well. As good as his banjos are he could probably get away with being unpleasant, but he's a prince of a man.
