I have tried many different bridges on my Belleflower over the years and had settled on one I got from Janet Davis several years ago. Lately I stumbled upon the Kat Eyz website, and on a whim ordered a bridge from them. There are several choices of style and wood available. I chose the Spice Factory frame and purple heart for the top wood. I looked forward to trying the bridge, but the banjo was tuned/setup to a fare-thee-well so I wasn't expecting huge change. Wrong! I can't believe how good this bridge sounds. Among other things the banjo is more explosive and more balanced across the strings. Just an FYI. Also, I am using a Fybrskyn head. Good luck.

	dpskala says: 4/8/2011 9:48:33 AM Don't repeat yourself. And don't repeat yourself. ;-) When I got my '88 Masterpiece in December, it came with a Grover bridge on it (surprising). I bought a "Rivet Busting" maple bridge from Rick Sampson, and am happy with it. I did a minor setup and changed several things at once, so I'm not sure how much effect the bridge had. But hmmm, I could change it back temporarily and test that. Maybe I'll do that for the hell of it.

	thombanjo says: 4/8/2011 3:52:12 PM As far as bridges go...you can go nuts trying to find the right one...a bridge can change the tone very much...Stelling, Tim Purcell, Warren Yates, and Scorpion bridges are all first class. If your banjo is new to being played , it will take a while like a year or two to start to really open up (vibrate up the neck.etc.) At that time you may want to try even more bridges than the one you are using now. For my Stelling, I've settled on a Sullivan Factory Floor bridge. Every banjo is unique and what works on one Stelling (wood being the same) won't work on another.
