Hi guys,
I live in Europe in the Czech Republic. I have tried many banjos of different brands, when I was looking for the right sound, I have dreamed of Stelling since I was young, and then one year passed and the opportunity arose to buy a Stelling Bellflower in Europe from a guy from France. Now I have been the happy owner of this excellent instrument for over a year and I can say that it is the first banjo that really TUNES in the whole scale, the neck fits perfectly in the hand, the sound is incredible... and I could go on like this for an hour...:-).
Of course, I tried to improve the sound, by tightening or loosening the head, a different bridge, adjusting the tailpiece, the height of the strings and I ended up with a value of 91.5 on the meter, with a bridge from Tim Purcell, string thicknesses according to Geoff 10,12,15,23,10 and I am happy...
