Just curious about the history of this model. I own #3070 which is maple with a bound peghead.

When did it go to walnut, (or did it vary), and when did it lose the peghead binding?

	Geoff Stelling says: 4/24/2018 12:30:38 PM Joe, #3070 was made 6-18-86 as a lefty and sold to Updike Music. I have no idea where that store was and it was probably the only banjo they ever ordered. We made some walnut and some maple in the '80's and quit the bound pegheads when we went back to all walnut again in the last couple of years in the '80's or the early '90's. Unfortunately, my records do not specify exactly when that stuff happened, and if they do, it is written on one page among 100's of pages of records.
