When it comes to all the Mastertone clones being built today you can pretty much put them in a pot and stir them together and they will all taste about the same. Your only going to get so much variation from the same old recipe.

That's why I admire Stellings. They don't follow the crowd and have instead used thoughtful engineering to improve upon the old Mastertone design. The result is better playability, top notch craftsmanship, greater consistency and powerful vibrant tone with volume that few others can match. You don't have to work hard to pull great tone and they never run out of steam. They are different in a good way, not just a re-hash of what has come before.

	TOMCAT says: 2/9/2017 6:15:40 AM I'm like Joe, I've been thru several matertones and clones, and most were really fine banjos, but l find that other than cosmetics they all fit the same mold.Ive owned 3 Stellings and they are without doubt the most consistent and well crafted banjos on the face of the earth.And let me add the older Stelling are reacting to age really well. My 89 sunflower has a dryness that will make an old mastertone back quitely out of the room😁
