Maybe it's just me, but as of late I've played some older Stelling from the early to mid 80s and there seems to be a dryness (to me that's a good thing) that has developed in the tone. Who knew perfect could get better😁

	Craig_B says: 1/13/2017 6:47:25 AM I got my Staghorn new in '82, and as great as it sounded then, I think it's improved, a lot. I don't know how to describe it except to say it's kind of "solidified;" it's more of a piece, rather than a collection of parts.

Both configurations are superb in their own way, subject to setup. I never upgraded my Sunflower to the newer rim because it already sounds great to me now. My time is better spent working on my technique and picking skills.
	monstertone says: 4/11/2017 3:33:33 PM Mine is a '77 Starflower It had a neck that had been broken & repaired at the heel (twice)when I got it. After I had a replacement neck made, it came off again to be reworked. But the pot still has the same head on it as when I first got it back in the late 80's. I operate under the credo "if it aint broke, don't fix it" So as long as it still barks with authority, I can live with the scuzzies it has gathered through the years.
