My Rickard is attached to the pot by a dowel stick arrangement and the truss rod is adjusted from the heel side. I'm not much of a mechanic so I'm wondering if anyone knows a good website or video that shows: Removing and attaching the neck with a dowel and then adjusting the truss from the heel. I don't want to send it to Canada for a simple adjustment. Is this a user adjustment or should I take it to someone? I'm in southern California. Thanks in advance

	tfaux says: 4/29/2024 6:59:19 AM I see that this was asked many years ago. Maybe still worth answering for somebody... Remove strings, tailpiece, dowel stick end bolt and dowel stick “U” clamp assy. Pull neck away from rim and remove dowel stick ferrule, fully remove neck. Adjust truss rod using a 5/32 Allen key Turn clockwise to decrease relief (to decrease forward bow and slightly lower string height) Turn counter clockwise to increase relief (creating forward bow and slightly increase string height) • Do not adjust more than 1/4 of a turn. • Re-assemble and re-string If further adjustment is needed wait 24 hours before repeating ¼ turn adjustment
