Just received my Rickard in March 2011. It's a 12" curly maple rim, Whyte/Ladie tone ring, vega style bracket band that has 14 hook positions. Neck is maple and ebony and I opted for the maple peg head inlay too. It took about 5 months from the initial order to the time I received it. I'm very happy with this banjo it feels good, sounds great, and looks good. It is definitely a keeper and I hope to own it for a long time. It's not perfect, more like a 9.5 out of 10 but since it is a one off I'm not really complaining. I'll post a few pictures on my BHO page. Anyone considering a custom job from Bill or any other maker I'd be happy to share my experience. Around early February this year I ordered a custom pot from Henry J Banjo and this week I'm ordering a custom neck from Hickler in Arizona. I have some experience ordering custom now and can maybe suggest a few things to be aware of.
