Hi all:

I want to purchase a Recording King however choosing which brand is a bit on the tough side. I love a bright crisp sound which most RK's have. I love the RK 35 and 36. I would appreciate any light on the different models to educate my decision. It will be Recording King 5 string for sure. Which one???

	Andyincov says: 10/9/2013 6:34:03 AM Not sure about the newer ones. I think they're all good - certainly have a great reputation. I've played a couple of them and they are definitely good banjos. The banjo I'm playing in the linked content is maple. It has all the same hardware as the 36. If you bought one, you could expect it to sound something like the one I'm playing. I prefer maple, but that's neither here nor there - it's a taste issue. cheers

	Andyincov says: 10/9/2013 6:40:08 AM that's what I'm playing as well while I don't have the luxury of choosing to play it over a mastertone, I have played many gibsons and my 85 is just as good (except for in comparison to a bowtie I once played - it was a hawg!). I also rate it highly in comparison to nechvilles and a few stellings I've played. They are brilliant banjos
	hetech says: 10/9/2013 6:42:34 AM Just want to say I appreciate all of Andyincov's clips. You do a great job...And if you like a bright tone, he has great examples. I have an RK-75 elite (mahogany) and it is really deep. All personal preference. Whatever you get, you won't be dissapointed.
	alfiedog says: 10/9/2013 6:44:19 AM Hi Gary, The RK35 is Maple, and has a matt finish. The RK36 is Mahogany, and has a gloss finish. I havent played a 36, but i really dont wanna coz i am satisfied with my 35. The hardware is supposed to be the same on both Banjo's.
