Very pleased (and very pleased with the Hut's great customer service in resolving an issue). I've been taking bluegrass lessons on Mom's old 1980s/90s Washburn, and there is no comparison. Might want to change the strings, though. My instructor cleaned up the old Washburn and added phosphor bronze light strings to it, so the 35's factory strings feel thinner that what my fingertips are accustomed to.

As far as the banjo goes, it's a great reasonably priced banjo that is clean and simple in looks. It sounds way better than the price would lead you to believe. I just got my Bill Keith Tuners in the mail and it took less than 5 minutes to pop 'em in. I'm waiting for the mail carrier to drop off my new Kat Eyz pegged bridge. I'm still playing on the original factory strings, but I think I'll be doing some experimenting with them after I get the new bridge. The RK-R35 is a joy to play!!! :)
