Hi everyone. Rich Freeze here. How many of you have tried the Murphy Method of learning by Ear? Just interested in your experience.

	somarmd says: 12/4/2012 5:56:50 PM I use MM also and love it. I am nowhere as experienced as Bill but hope to be some day. I struggled with tab. It clicks for me to watch, listen and repeat. Kind of like simon say's with the addition of learning while repeating. Try different approaches until you find one that clicks. Happy Picking....:)
	From Greylock to Bean Blossom says: 12/5/2012 7:36:13 AM The Murphy Method was much better than tab for me in that I retained it much better, I learned to play the melody in a more noticeable way and I had a much better feel for the timing - it was more natural to play. However even better for me is Amazing slow downer. It has all the advantages of the MM and in addition, it develops my ear more. It also has the advantage that I can learn any song I want and also play a long with it or play backup behind it.

	tkocason says: 1/7/2013 12:33:31 PM You won't need to. She goes over each note, note by note. You can rewind any area and rewatch, if needed. The MM is awesome. Like having a private tutor, but you can watch over and over, and pause, till you get each part.

	emerson christoff says: 7/16/2013 6:14:42 AM Both work. Though I found the MM works best for me. It actually seemed too easy...thinking i needed to sweat and strain to learn something. You will need to try one to see if it fits, AND if it fits not as well, the same, or better than tab.

	Rbuhrman says: 11/13/2013 5:45:29 AM sounds like a good way to learn....I'm giving it a try. Like a lot of others, I've "hit a wall" in my learning and I'm hoping MM will help me out. I don't live far from them, & I'm curious about their "all weekend" lessons.
