Looks like a good group this. I've just started having skype lessons with a UK player called Leon Hunt. On the first lesson I asked him for the tab to accompany and he said that he didn't use tab! Once i'd got over the initial shock i'm beginning to see that it just might make sense!

	Augie says: 1/28/2011 7:26:22 AM Hi Nick, After using the Murphy Method for the past 10 months, out of curiousity, I decided to get a reality check just to see if I was on track. So, I decided to take a couple Skype one-on-one lessons. The first thing the guy sent me was Tab for three songs. I thought maybe I should try it and after three weeks I said, "What the heck am I doing, this is supposed to be fun. This stuff makes me miserable". So I put a stop to that and am moving forward as before. good reality check. We all need one once in a while. Augie

It really feels great to start to learn it and feel what you are learning. Boulding and Magram here on the hangout got my thinking going the right way.

	alfiedog says: 1/28/2011 3:29:04 PM I have Ditched Tab a while back. I think if you Play JO enough you seem to be able to Pick out Melody after a while, and you can Pinch Bits from other Tunes. Please Folks dont get me wrong, i am far from an expert at this but after 2 solid Years of Pickin its just starting to happen. And it feels great.
