Pisgah tone rings question

From Ohio Senator on 2/4/2015 9:08:20 PM

Howdy all, sorry if this question has been asked before but, whose tone rings are they using?  Their own, Stew mac, Rickard, etc?

Curious because I'm more and more interested in a 12in model from them, and would like to maybe have the option to upgrade to a bacophone plus (ala Reiter).

Overall, more and more impressed with what they are turning out...

My understanding is that the Dobson ring is Pisgah's own proprietary tone ring as is the persimmon ring of course. Email Patrick, as he is super approachable with questions.

The response I got from Pisgah on Facebook was this: "We have are Dobson ring and rolled brass rings along with all if our hardware made for us by machine shops in the USA. We are working on a bacon and WL prototype which we'll have later this year." A little vague, and kind of strange since I've already seen one Bacon ring Pisgah and the WL is available now on their website. Like I said above, I'm primarily just looking to clarify if the spun rings are interchangeable to make a Bacophone plus out of a WL. Will see what they say.

Just call Patrick up. He will give you the answer you seek.
