I received my 12" walnut Possum in mid December from Patrick and the guys and have been experimenting with different setups. For my tastes, I've found a winning combination of bridge and strings.

Bridge is a 'Heavy' Stockwell Moon.

Strings are a custom set of the cryo ones from AMBC in the following gauges: 10, 24B, 15, 13, 10.5

I picked these gauges trying to split the difference between the two sets of Mary Z. Cox Signature strings, which I found either too light or too heavy.

The 24 bronze fourth string is pretty chunky, and I think I'm going to have to file the nut ever so slightly to get it to sit properly. But it's worth it for the great tone it provides.

	Maditayl says: 1/16/2014 6:12:11 PM I tried one of those heavy moon bridges. It fixed the small intonation issue I was having but I found the sound to be too thin and bright for my taste.
	kratty says: 1/17/2014 3:55:06 AM Interesting that you had that experience. The heavy moon is, at least in theory, supposed to do the exact opposite of what you describe.
