Just wanted to wish everyone Happy Holidays!

From erikforgod on 12/18/2012 3:30:06 PM

I know Christmas is right around the corner and wanted to wish everyone a happy holidays. Any "banjoey" things going to be in anyones stocking or under the tree, any banjo related gifts coming? Besides my new Pisgah banjo ( which will be here after New Years) I have bought Dan Levensons festival tunes for banjo tab book and also R.D. Luncefords tab book to his album "Drop-Thumb" Also I have a whole bunch of strings on the way...may even buy some nylguts to try on my Pisgah

Apart from the new banjo, I don't really have any books or the like coming down the line. I already have, if anything, too many instructional and tune books, and a DVD or two. :)

Have you seen the new 5th string capo being advertised on the BHO? It looks pretty cool...although it wont do much good for a fretless banjo

Happy New Year everyone!! My Pisgah Dobson was my early Christmas gift to myself. Watching my pennies in the meantime and haven't bought anything banjo related recently. I did make an armrest out of poplar for my Goodtime Special earlier this year & modified it to fit on the Pisgah in time for Christmas. I don't have spikes on the
Pisgah and have made a pen cap capo that is described on Frank Ford's website. It seems to be working OK.

tpg11 - I use the pen cap capo as well...works like a charm! My fretless wont use a capo, it will be all alternate tuning so I wont need to worry about spikes with mine. I assume if one could ask the guys for spikes on their Pisgah necks that would install them...Happy New Year to all of you guys as well
