Hi Nechvillians,
I've had a Phantom for several years and the tone ring is blotchy and grungy. See the link below for a photo. I'd like to clean it and make it shiny again, but it is probably nickel plated so I don't want to screw it up even more by using the wrong polish.
So does anyone know a safe way I can clean this thing? It looks bad and it can be seen from the outside of my banjo.
